While speculation and bias run rampant through both blogs and MSM when reporting about Iraq, I prefer to get information from people close to the ground. This is a great set of photos from various photographers visiting Iraq 2 years after the invasion. It requires Flash and has audio commentary from the photographers, worth listening to.
Unlike a lot of reporting on Iraq, this takes time to consume and digest. It took me about 30 minutes to go through it all last night and it was worth it. It paints a more complex world where hope and fear struggle for lead in our soldiers’ minds and the minds of the Iraqi people.
